How Do We Adjust The Neck?

📍 📍 📍 Hey, Doctor Ryan Alter, your Delray Beach Chiropractor. 📍 I want to explain something today about adjusting the neck. There’s a lot of misconceptions out there about what’s being done

and I want to explain exactly how we do it in our office. To understand this, I want you to first understand

exactly what happens with the vertebrae that we’re adjusting.

If you look here, here’s the vertebrae, here’s the disc,

and here’s the vertebrae. And the vertebrae will come backwards like that and start

to irritate the nerves. The adjustment takes place as we work, work, work, work, work

that vertebrae forward to get the pressure off that nerve.  And so with the neck, sometimes it’s done seated.

Sometimes it’s done on your back,

but we get behind the neck like this, but then the actual adjustment is a forward adjustment again to push the vertebrae forward. There is no rotation like this. We get behind it. And it looks like that. That is the safest and best way to adjust necks And that’s exactly what we do in our office.

Remember,

We’re here in Delray Beach,

and we’re here to help you feel your best.
